Galway Arts Festival
Galway Arts Festival is Ireland’s largest international arts festival. Founded in 1978, it will take place between the 16th and 29th of July 2012

If your coming to the famous Galway Races y which takes place from the 30th of July to the 5th 2012 of August you can find more information on dates and times on the Galway Races official website.

The Volvo Ocean Race 2012
The Volvo Ocean Race Grand Finale 2011-2012 will be an 8 day festival of marine, sport, culture and arts, entertainment and food.
Galway will extend the festival to include the Global Village across the harbour which will add to the entertainment and hospitality focus of the Race Village with a networking, exhibition and conference area for the business to business sector. The Galway Global Village will feature shows, exhibitions, entertainment and an unprecedented Grand Finale to the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012. The In-Port race is on the 7th July, after which the winner of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 will be declared.
An Tóstal Festival
Will take place on the 5th and 6th of May 2012 the festival will again showcase the very best of Irish coastal traditions and customs through All-Ireland Currach Racing along the promenade of Salthill with the majestic Galway Hookers racing in the background on their native home of Galway Bay.
The Galway Film Fleadh
Ireland’s leading film festival, is a six day international film event held every July and welcomes a mad diversity of filmmaking from around the world.
This year 2012 The Galway Film Fleadh takes place between the 10th and 15th of July.
Cúirt International Festival of Literature
Cúirt International Festival of Literature is an annual celebration of the very best of contemporary writing in poetry, fiction and memoir. Takes place 24 – 29 April 2012
